What's up guys!?
Here is the second episode to my new series about wine tasting in the Napa Valley. Think of this more as a "beginner's guide" to exploring the vast regions of Napa Valley. For this video I visited three wineries located throughout out the valley, they are; Castello di Amorosa, Paraduxx and Silver Oak.
Castello di Amorosa
Ah yes, The Castle of Love, a stunning medieval castle tucked win in the mountain side offering beautiful views of the relaxing city of Calistoga. There plenty of places to roam and explore, but even more for picture taking. This is a must see attraction if you visit the Napa Valley. Not only is the architecture gorgeous but the wines delicious.
The tasting room alone is something to "awe" about, it's filled with so many cool things, from pour spouts, to clothing, to harmonicas, to cigars. They have everything! Th wines are beautiful, absolutely delectable. They definitely have more of an Italian style to them, more full bodied, soft tannins, easy oak, good fruit. Star Rating: 5
Paraduxx
This is probably one of my favorite wineries so far. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the concierge. From there they escort you outside to the back where they sit you down on some beautiful whicker sofas. Shortly after, a wine educator comes over with your "flight of wine", cheers and cracker pairing. They talk about the wine and answer any questions, then leave you to enjoy the wine with your friends.
The wine is phenomenal, they specialize in blends. Mainly Zinfandel dominant to Cabernet, they do have one Cab dominant to zin blend. The wines are more of a medium body, but beautiful concentrated fruit, smooth tannins with a beautiful finish. Star Rating: 5
Silver Oak
Silver Oak was a really cool experience, they have a beautiful modern building with big open doors welcoming you in. An expansive tasting bar filled with knowledgable, good wine and crackers. There is plenty to appreciate upon exploring the building, I even had a chance to check out their cellar.. jaw dropping. Their wines are very good and definitely food friendly. Star Rating: 3 1/2
